Laundry Day. Everyday.

12 x 12 acrylic painting on wood panel in hand painted floater frame. Frame dimensions are 13 1/4 x 13 1/4 and 1 7/8 inches deep.

This piece was created while under shelter-in-place orders in Spring 2020.  With my spouse working from home and my three children distance learning from home, the housework just piled up faster than usual. I couldn't catch up with the never-ending pile of laundry so one day I decided to paint it. In this piece I used an abstract background to highlight the messy, overflowing nature of the subject matter. While I may not be caught up still, I'm grateful that I have people that I love at home with me and we are all in this together - dirty socks and all.
