Where to Go?
12x12 Acrylic on wood panel in black floater frame. Frame dimensions are 13 1/4 x 13 1/4 and 1 7/8 inches deep.
This piece was created while under shelter-in-place orders in Spring 2020. In looking through my photographs I was struck by one I took looking out the airplane window and the graphic nature of the farm fields, forests, rivers and roads below. I've always loved looking out airplane windows and seeing the world seeming so tiny and far away. In this time where we cannot hop on a plane and travel as usual it also reminds me of how connected we all are in this new reality. This piece is acrylic with texture in each patchwork area and the blue underpainting peeking through.
This work was accepted in the juried August Exhibit at The Art League in Alexandria, VA.
